American actor and rapper Earl Simmons, born December 18, 1970 and died on April 9 2021. His debut album It's dark and hot released in 1998. The rapper began to rap in the 90s. 251,000 copies were sold within the first week. In 1999, DMX released... and then there was X. The album included the smash hit track "Party up (Up in Here). The singles from 2003 "Where the Hood At?" His 2003 singles, "Where the Hood at?" and "X Gon Making It To Ya", were also commercially successful. He was also the first artist to be No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart five consecutive times. 7. DMX has sold over 74 million albums around the world. 8 DMX has been featured in movies such as Belly Romeo Must Die (with Exit Wounds), Belly, Romeo Must Die (with Belly), Cradle 2 the Grave (with Cradle 2 the Grave) and Last Hour. In 2006, he starred in the reality show DMX: Soul of a Man that was broadcast by the BET cable television network Never Die Alone. In 2003, he released an autobiography entitled E.A.R.L. : The Autobiography of DMX. 9. DMX was introduced to the world of music at 14 in 1984 when he beatboxed for Ready Ron. After a stint in prison then he began writing his own lyrics and performed in the local recreation center for children younger than him. While in prison , he was convicted of carjacking. he spent almost all his time writing lyrics. He also began rapping with K.Solo. He was released during the summer of 1988 and began to produce and sell his own mixtapes. In these mixtapes, he performed raps over songs by other artists and sold them on street corners. This helped him develop a local fanbase all across New York. Percee P and DMX performed on The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show 1991, in which they performed their own freestyles. [15"Spellbound" DMX would later that year release a demo tape which featured "Spellbound" as well as "Critical Condition", "Three Little Pigs", "The Original Author of Spellbound" and "Unstoppable Force". It was quite similar to Big Daddy Kane or Rakim, and it was not his later work. [3] In 1991 The Source magazine praised DMX as an Unsigned Hype column, which featured rappers who were unsigned. 16. Jay-Z, Ja Rules, and Mic Gérardo were guests on the underground classic "Time to Build" by Mic Geronimo in 1995. DMX died of a heart attack triggered by cocaine on April 9 2021.
