A.J. Cook is A.J. Cook, a Canadian actor, best known for the role of Jennifer Jareau (JJ) as JJ in the films Criminal Minds as well as The Virgin Suicides in 1999 as well as 2003, is also known for other characters. Cook's TV credits includes Dead Like Me, Tru Calling, Higher Ground, Bluemoon, PSI Factor, Goosebumps, Elvis Meets Nixon, In His Father's Shoes, Laser Hawk and the film for television Island Heat. She was also in the movies Blood Suckers, Final Destination II, The House Next Door, Out Cold, Ripper, The Virgin Suicides, Kisses and The Tinker. Cook was brought up in Whitby by her father Mike who is a teacher at school as well as her mother Sandra who works as a psychiatrist. She grew up along with the rest of her siblings Angela, Nathan and Paul. They were raised as Mormon or an a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and she only takes on roles that aren't at odds with her faith or the teachings in Mormonism.
