Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor and model who is active primarily in Indian cinema. She was also the runner-up at the year 2006 Miss Sri Lanka Universe pageant. Fernandez is a member of a clan with Canadian, Sri Lankan and Malaysian descent. She lived her first time in Bahrain. After receiving a mass communications degree from University of Sydney, she was employed in Sri Lanka as a television reporter for a few years prior to getting into the model industry. She was one of Sri Lanka's top models following her participation at Miss Universe 2006. In 2009, during her professional travels to India she landed the part of Jasmine in Sujoy Ghosh's film 'Aladin'. Her breakout role was in 2011 when she was selected to play the role of female lead Priya in 'Murder 2'. Fernandez had a successful professional career after this film, it was both a hit on the box office and among reviews. Since then, she's starred in movies like Housefull 2 & 3, "Race 2", "Definition Of Fear" and Judwaa 2. She has been awarded numerous prizes and has been a brand representative for several global companies. She is a committed community member who supports numerous organizations and causes.
